Very concerning if they pick mccann ahead of neil imoI think we all know it's McCann already don't we? The tenuous story on FLW about him being offered the job sounds likely to me, the club will know the mood is turning mutinous now. It won't bother them that much but they will be aware they have to appoint someone now, even if that someone is bit of a fat headed nobody that only they want anywhere near the job.
I think the thing about moving to the North East is true.I can't see why fans would be against that demand for a long term contract.I dont believe it was ever going to be Keane. They've got into a position and tried to calm it and probably gave him a poor offer ao he knocks it back.
Think so, looks like he was the second choice and not McCann as widely reportedIs it happening?
Why not, clubs like Bradford, Barnsley, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Brentford, Wigan have all managed it.
^^^this is how you move on, folks!Neil would be a very good appointment. He has a very good CV and likes to play just the sort of football we're supposed to be playing. He's a hell of a lot better as manager than either McCann or Keane. Really pleased we dodged the bullet of Keane and would happy to give Neil my support. Johnson was only ever League One and Keane is only a TV pundit, but Neil is clearly the quality of at least the league above us.
Solid job at Preston wouldn't be ecstatic if he left us 16 th in championshipIf Alex Neil can get us to where Preston were ..... I'd be ecstatic this appointment doesn't need to be the one to lead us to championship glory he just needs to get us up and get us mid table to playoffs
out of the possible candidates he seems the best equipped to do it
also a few in that list spent a fortune compared to Preston... in Wigans case they had a bigger budget in 2004 than he did 15 year later
Exactly. We’re a play off contending L1 club at the moment. So his record is as good as we can realistically expect. Two promotions, a sacking for standing up to a rotten core, a seventh finish on the nineteenth budget then having his best players sold out from under him. Three PNE fans on this thread all rate him. No one on here knows a Norwich fan who thinks he’s shite.“Got Preston near the playoffs”
This is how far we’ve fallen
No he wouldn’t. He’d be another marker of our slide to lower league obscurity.
He was my choice before the Keane link. I think he's very much a coach rather than manager. It's the fact Keane as a manager brings a good coach too.You just ignoring the
"got Norwich to the Premier League"
His managerial CV is as good as Keanes as much as some on here won't admit it
What's his formation?
We're used to losing so bring him home!Attacking. Not afraid to lose to go for a win.
Ya just know it will be mccannNeil is far better than mccann
EhSolid job at Preston wouldn't be ecstatic if he left us 16 th in championship
Very true!! But then you or I would be an improvement on him!Better than McCann surely?
