I reckon the no conference was Neil's idea. More important to get on with the job, taking the one session he could at the AoL, and then heading off with the team to be on the touchline tomorrow. Basically means we've appointed him on a never ending contract! But aye, only ever a years worth of severance if we decide to sack him. Not sure why we wouldn't just give an 18 month deal mind, since if we were to sack him at the end of this season (which would be incredibly harsh) it would amount to the same thing, and if we got rid next season (which is likely with us) we wouldn't have had to pay as much compensation. Still, let's hope he does mint and we don't need to worry about it for a while!

It's more a normal employment contract with a 12 month notice period.
