Good point regarding not playing but fairly sure it won’t be administrative due to age. As mentioned before it suggests to me that there is a move in for Neil and a loan for Rigg so he’s come back as loan has been less productive than hoped so might as well be training with better players and fill the 6th midfield option slot.

Checked the league cup counting as an appearance for two clubs rule and actually it looks like it does so Aleksic won’t be able to play for anyone else. The league cup rule change is just that you aren’t cup tied as far as I can tell.

Nah he can't play for another club, played for us in a competitive game and whoever he was on loan to so can't play for anyone else this season. He would have to go to a country with a summer league like MLS or Brazil.

I think after his first season he was called up for two Nations league games without appearing. He was only 18 or so, very strange situation if we've scouted him a lot.
