WIthout bias I'd put him in the top 5 current premier league centre halfs this season . For instance Liverpool have konate and alderate is way better

This. He's been utilised well on the ball. He has occasionally been caught in possesion, but that's something which is going to happen when you want players at the back to actually try and play football. It doesn't mean he's at all poor on the ball though, far from it.

With these two we have more pace at the back but lose Ballards ability in the air and physical presence. Tough call but nice problem to have .
