WIthout bias I'd put him in the top 5 current premier league centre halfs this season . For instance Liverpool have konate and alderate is way better

How the hell he has ended up playing for us I'll never know .

Seems to be tasked with trying to get the ball into midfield and he has a fearless nature to try it when he shouldn't at times, prefer that to hoofing it up the pitch all the time even if it plays us into trouble at times.

This is a good point, really helps our press when we have someone with pace in the the centre.

Has to be mukilele then aldrette or Ballard competing with eachother having mukilele pace and athleticism centre back is a massive asset and he keeps his discipline when he plays there shapes so much better.

If you think it's not, go and ask 100 fans of other clubs and see if Alderete even gets a single mention.

He's not in the top 5 centre backs I agree but asking other fans isn't going to give a fair indication though, most probably hadn't heard of him However he does get plenty of praise from commentators and pundits.
