Alan Brazil talksport

I think they’re both better broadcast journalists than Woods, but I suppose that’s in the eye of the beholder. I know Woods has won an award twice but I struggle to see what for.
That's your opinion though and that's fine, I'd rate Logan and Cates higher too. However my point to Keith was she didn't win it twice just becuase she was a woman.

I think it’s fair enough to speculate that her attractiveness and female-ness may have played a role in the trajectory of her career and the winning of awards. But I do also agree that this is a stick used to beat women in prominent positions, when those questions aren’t often asked of questionably talented blokes.

I think I’ll mind my own business on this one haha

So you keep saying. By all means dislike her/ have a borderline obsession about disliking her.

But she nor other female presenters don’t get accolades for sports presenting and journalism just because they are women.

Some posters would still prefer women to be firmly back in the kitchen when it comes to either playing or presenting from a sporting perspective marra.....

I hope he does and not be like George Best .
He should remember every day that someone has had to die to give him a second chance.
I don't listen to talkshite ( stopped around 4 year back) , but all he went on about was alcohol, embarrassing amount of times to be honest.

I suggest he doesn't glamourise it ever again when back.

It's a disease , but spouting the joys of it to air is simply wrong. Hopefully he does the opposite and tries to help others.

Something tells me he will.
It is a disease....some of us aren't as lucky as him. I have liver schirrosis and it is manageable but it's f***ing hard. Might look ok on the outside but inside it fucks you. Best of luck to him.....but Talksport should have known he had a problem like.

Lets be honest they seemed to revel in it. You only have to listen to the trailers and all the chat about "Big Al" and his drinking to see that.

Yip. Frightening really .

Years ago they had an ex footballer on who had severe gambling issues ( cant remember who), and it was Jim Shite talking to him. The empathy from Shite was clear I must add.

Then they cut to adverts.......and guess what.

Now I know it pays their bills, and yes I know not all who gamble have addiction issues, but straight after the interview was so friggin ironic.
