Alan Brazil talksport

Don't see the problem with what Brazil said at all:

“With the greatest respect, women's football is getting important now but when you talk about Manchester United, this is the men’s we’re talking about, the Premier League when we’re talking about mission impossible, not the women’s. It isn’t a priority. I’m sorry, people around them are not bothered. It is true. They’re not bothered. Within the bigger picture, they’re not.”

Isn't that true? How many people who follow Sunderland are bothered about the women's team? Doesn't mean we're patronising women, or don't want them to enjoy playing the game, and don't think good luck to them, and don't think the women's game isn't decent to watch and actually they play the game in the right spirit (the men's game could learn a thing or two from them there).

But, in the big picture it's not important to us, and that's all Brazil was saying as far as I can tell. The crowds back that up. Doesn't mean lasses can't enjoy playing the game and aim to be the best they can, they'll get recognition although as Brazil says it won't be anywhere near the recognition the men's game and its players get.

Don't think there's anything misogynistic and dinosaurish in what he said.
100% correct 👍

It's a bid mad on here to be fair. It's went from 'nice bits of skirts', and 'boilers',to dads crushing their daughter's enjoyment, to people not even listening to the clip!
As soon as I get home I'm going to remind the two boys that lasses will never be as good as them at football. Just in case they forget.

I've read four reports of it now and they all say the same thing: the lass made out that a primary target for Man Utd should be the women's team winning silverware.

I didn't listen to the show so can only go off reports in the press.

I'm interested to hear the alternative version? Maybe you could post it? Sounds like you have the clip to hand and that you can easily put a link up on here?

You don't think Brazil was being condescending the way he was talking to her?

She didnt

You keep telling your daughter what she does is irrelevant mate. There's a good dad!
Blatantly struggling with debate when you feel the need to keep repeating an interpretation which has been pointed out to you as being wrong, several times.

100% correct 👍
Another agreeing with a lad who has said he's not listened to it

She didn't. Listen to it. Ive never once listened to the show proper. It sounds absolutely shite. I have went to the early pages and reviewed the clip though and been able to clearly understand what is and isn't being said.

Post it then, sounds like you have it to hand. Stating: she didn't, over and over again, isn't going to impress anybody.
I'm not interested in impressing anyone. I'm enjoying people getting it very wrong and commenting on something they've not even heard.
Yet he’s quoted the point being made. When you read a story in the paper, do you have to have seen the same story on the news to understand it?
Has he seen the actual quotes? I've not seen him say that. You getting more things wrong or just making things up? That's desperate.

You know the bit where she says "I've already said that" in response to Fatty saying Mission 21 is about the mens game and is the main priority for fans? Does the penny not drop then?

Why not call him Brazil, like any normal person would? Calling him ‘fatty’ just sounds childish.
What did you mean by it then. Explain
I have explained, read the board.

I like the bit where Agbonlahor comes in, to clarify for Fattys understanding, and says everyone knows the mens game is the priority, and no one is suggesting otherwise, but we don't need to disregard the womens game either Fatty just goes quiet then moves it on

Fatty absolutely hates women. You can tell the way he talks to her. A few on here agreeing must be the same. They even don't like their daughters getting excited about women's football. It's crazy

Tbf mate, like Fatty, they just want to keep things real and remind all females that they'll never be as good at football as men. That's just ensuring they don't believe in fairytales (that no one is even telling) iirc.

According to The Independent which is a left-wing newspaper by anyone's standards:

The 65-year-old was talking about the importance of ’s dreams of a trophy, when his fellow presenter, Shebahn Aherne, said that the women’s team winning a silver cup should be the club’s main focus.
