He's lived a life has old Alan, he'd turn up at the opening of an envelope if there's a freebie involved. His lifestyle was always going to catch up with him eventually. He's a bright bloke (came second in the cleverest footballer behind Clarke Carlisle) so he'll know that.

I am happy for women’s sports and particularly football which is growing leeps and bounds, but for me I wish they keep them separate as I just want to follow men’s football as I only have time for one sport to follow not both sports so please don’t co-mingle both sports for me.

Don't listen to talkshite now but I watched a thing on YouTube a while back when he was interviewed about his time conning a sicky out of TS bosses so he could get pissed at Cheltenham, which was weird and got me wondering how he wasn't dismissed.

I’ve never got the love for him, he sounds completely bored and ill-informed about anything but horse-racing where you can clearly hear his enthusiasm. Even when talking about football as they do most of the time, he doesn’t sound arsed and admits he doesn’t watch a load of games.
