Alan Brazil talksport

I don’t listen to Talksport, so I don’t know his stance on womens football. I’m merely talking about the instance in hand, which he’s totally correct about.

I’m similar. I think it’s great that women are encouraged to play football, my niece plays and she loves it, I sometimes go and watch her play, because it’s my niece. It’s brilliant to see anyone doing and competing in sport, any sport. I’ve nothing whatsoever against women playing football, I’m not misogynistic, I’m not sexist. However, I’ve got no interest in womens football at all, I can’t really help that, it’s just something I don’t find interesting. That doesn’t make me sexist, it doesn’t mean I’m a dinosaur or that I’m living in the 80’s, it’s just a fact. That’s all Alan Brazil is saying - the Manchester United fanbase, on the whole, aren’t interested.
Well reasoned and sensible post.

It’s not about encouraging it, it’s not about women not being interested in the men’s game, it’s not about being able to live with it, it’s not about anyone criticising it. It’s about Alan Brazil stating a fact that, on the whole, Man Utd’s fanbase aren’t interested in the women’s team. You’re arguing totally the wrong point!
Well some of them clearly aren't

And some of them clearly are

And who really gives a fuck what he thinks 🤔

So on the conversation he was saying on the 'project' most Man U fans don't care about the Man U women's team.

Average attendance at Old Trafford for Man U is 73,819

Average attendance for their women's side is 5537

Does that not prove his point in the context of that conversation this morning?
It proves that mist don't watch the womens game.

But that's obvious looking at the attendances. You don't need Einstein levels of intellect to make that observation.

But does this mean it ( women's footy ) shouldn't be encouraged... No

The real question is why he chose to labour the point so much

Perhaps because some people are intent on giving it more relevance than it commands, like in this instance.

Never listen to TalkSport but always remember Alan Brazil being a really good pundit around the 1997-1999 part of the Reid era.

I’ve not read any posts so far, did he give a health update on Bob Monkhouse?

When I've listened to the clip, he didn't really labour the point, it was more Sheban not accepting that was his point of view.
Whether it needs encouraging or not, again that wasn't the point which was being made this morning.
I imagine this is another tiresome f***ing thread with the usual "I've got no interest so stop FORCING me to watch it" arguments from the non-misogynists
It isn't.
