Women’s football - not my thing too slow but certainly improved

Alan Brazil - looks like a tomato

It has to start somewhere though- its natural you'll get some big teams who dominate to start- hopefully as it gets more popular this will change.

Its fantastic to see the amount of girls playing football in clubs these days.

As I say above, it has to start somewhere. Just look at how far its come in the last 10 years.

And "nobody gives a stuff" is just completely wrong.

It's not completely wrong though is it normally these things are somewhere in the middle.

It's a niche sport. You cant force people to like something they don't like. The women's game is worse than league 2 football, i don't watch men's league 2 football because it's not very good to watch.

Stop giving a niche sport as much attention as a major sport. Let it grow independently away from the mens game, that's the mistake they are making.

It's a niche sport. You can force people to like something they don't like. The women's game is worse than league 2 football, i don't watch men's league 2 football because it's not very good to watch.

It’s far far far worse than League 2 mind.

You could put South Shields against the womens national side and would be a massacre still.

It is away from the mens game. Dunno what you mean here

If you asked 100 Man Utd fans what their priority is, with the choice being a) getting back to challenging for the prem or b) the women’s team winning silverware. The vast majority would choose option a). How dare Brazil publicly state the obvious though. Cancel him immediately

It really isn't.

Sue Smith is in the soccer Saturday panel, Alex host of match of the day.

Several female pundits now involved in the mens game.

That's not away from the mens game at all.

Let's face it, 90% of football fans don't have any great interest in women's football.

They sometimes get decent crowds but they are selling tickets at about a fifth of the price of the men's game.

I have no problem with people calling a spade a spade.

Well said

In addition to that weve got the equal pay shenagans and numerous other motifs.

The mens game is over 100 years old and has developed over that tenure, the womens game is in its infancy and is artificially above itself.

Furthermore, there's a reason more people watch Man United men than Aldershot, the standard and the quality, the same goes to the women. Pound for pound the quality is poor and It's the same reason the likes of the womens NBA pails to the NBA.

The conversation was only made about priorities by the fat tomato though. The project they were talking about actually mentioned the womens football team. So what was the matter with the woman mentioning it?
