Thanks for opening to read....
I currently own a nikon d3400 which is showing a possible dust spot on sensor at certain f stops.
My options are to .....
Have camera cleaned professionally again advice would be appreciated đź‘Ť
Or i was thinking of an upgrade to a mirrorless Nikon z50 with ftz adaptor to use lenses I already own plus kit lenses in bundle 16-50 and 50-250.
I am going to attempt a shutter count on the D3400 to see if it influences my decision but haven't as yet. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I assume you are only seeing anything at higher f numbers?

It shouldn't really be that difficult to clean the sensor yourself. Try with a blower first with camera facing down. If that doesn't work, the next bet is dry swabs and then finally wet swabs.

Something like these:

A bright light and magnifying glass should let you see what is on the sensor too.

You will have the same, if not worse problems with a mirrorless (as there is no mirror in the way to block dust when you swap lenses), so I'd suggest investing in a cleaning kit whatever your final choice is.
