Has anyone noticed the adverts getting more racy lately?

The breathable boxers were bad enough, but now keep getting adverts for easy lays with older ladies.

Before the obligatory cries of stop searching for porn start, never done that on this phone as it is quite new.

The other worrying thing is the lasses in the adverts look about my age.

Does nobody listen on here? Adverts are down to the search history and what you phone mic picks up.

Pervert

Depends more on how Google profiles you and how advertisers choose to use that info.

Can get ads simply because of your (estimated) age or gender.

True, don't disagree with that. But it's also common knowledge these days that your phone is always listening. Worse on Android than it is on Apple, lesser security measures

Wrong un ^

Hundreds of apps and games are monitoring smartphone users through their microphones.

They feature a technology that can even recognise audio when the user puts their phone inside their pocket, or if the apps are running in the background.

Advertisers can then use this information to learn more about consumers and target ads more effectively.

Hundreds of Apps Can Eavesdrop Through Phone Microphones to Target Ads

Is your phone listening in? Your stories

Your Phone Is Listening and it's Not Paranoia

Your smartphone is listening to you

Myth

This site seems different. I currently have ads for BT , the Army, and explore South Africa. I have not searched for them or spoke about them, the ads on here seem random and the amount of 'racy' ads is terrible.

Mine is currently for smoke alarms from Nest. Yesterday in me office, me and me business partner were talking about smoke and fire alarms required for a job we have on. I get it all the time.

I need to remove mic access from all me apps. Dodgy

I completely agree mate, my adverts about rich young multimillionairesses, super models and Champaign, are getting infuriating. How are your adverts about gay young mens boxers going for you?

I got one for ready mixed concrete on here the other day. Think their profile of me is a bit off the mark.

If its any help, the advert at the top for me at the moment is some financial thing from AJ Bell about SIPPs, the one at the bottom is from Arnold Clark about car deals - I haven't been searching or looking at websites about either of these subjects
