No it isn't. There is literally no logic to us entering administration, unless Short has decided he can't be fucked with the club anymore and is happy to lose all his money.

Yes. But.

He stands to lose £100m now? In another year the club could be almost worthless.

Would you not bail out and take £20m from the administrator?

But the thing is there's no guarantee he'd get anything from the administrator. In fact its pretty unlikely; he's an unsecured creditor and there's plenty in the queue ahead of him.

I know.... But he would 'probably' get 'something".
Right now his club is headed for League One.
The club's credit rating has been destroyed - and is getting worse with these rumours - so they can't renegotiate the finance anyway.

The finance isn't up for renegotiation for another two years.

What if he's trousered all the transfer, loan and parachute money, say.. 80 mil, and happy to just pull the plug and get out of dodge..? And owt he gets from the administrator is just a bonus..

The rumours won't go away. It's like in my experience of working in a factory and there are rumours of mass redundancy, 95% of the time they're true

The problem is mate, the rumours about administration are bullshit. Social media has allowed them to grow and the club's media reaction has been poor.

That said, I fully expect another round of redundancies for the poor sods who work for the club in the next few weeks. By Xmas, I expect our staffing to be around Roker Park levels.
