Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

I can't imagine we've lost money here- it's not like we overpaid for him or he's worth any less. Is the extra 5 million not just going to be add ons that will never be met or something.'

I have to admit it's very strange. It does appear to be paying directly for his replacement though- so maybe that' our thinking.

Read the fans' comments on this, plus ca change 🤣

"As usual, no audible questions from the journalists... hire a sound engineer!!!"

He'll feel right at home

I first mentioned this jokingly in Div 3 but nothing's really changed.

KLD is the only owner in the country that grew up playing Championship/Football Manager since he was a kid. I don't mean figuratively; literally he's doing with Sunderland exactly what you do to succeed in the computer game, and (with media/"experts" doom-saying in the background throughout) we've rocketed up the leagues and it's still working in real life 5 years later.

This is exactly what me and my mates do in our long-running Pro Evo game - if someone with good potential doesn't seem like they'll end up world class, you sell the 23yr old that's not developing as hoped and get in a 19/20yr old for about the same price.

Is that true? If so then champion as losing 5 million in 6 months is pretty poor
Hway fella, we have literally had a 95% success rate when signing 14 new players....even Adingra and Masuaku aren't terrible players (which is why clubs like Monaco and Lens have taken them on), they just don't really suit our style of play.

Think it is great that they have moved them on quickly, as soon as replacements were in place ie Cirkin getting fit and Ungula suddenly becoming available. Club is behind ran brilliantly at the minute, been an incredible season.

Spot on.
Under previous regimes SAFC would try and try and try to justify a signing that a lot of fans had given up on early doors* by sticking them in the team or on the bench for 2 or 3 seasons before finally seeing sense and undisclosed feeing them out the back door when they thought no one was looking. I for one am appreciating the regimes ability to hold their hands up almost as much as their incoming stuff.

*Hearts btw for my crowd.

It is yeah, that's out the bank/KLDs pocket.

But.. I think his PSR cost would have been around 4mil (1years portion of his fee).. a 15mil sale allows us to sign 3 x 15mil signings on 3year deals or 1 x 45mil player on a 3yr deal.

It's why Jobe/Watson sales set us up for our spree.

The Model suggests we sell when they're at their highest to help the future progress, If he's on the bench, 15mil is probably his highest and most importantly, takes away PSR pressure and helps us bide our time on the likes of Roefs/Sadiki etc.

Won't be the 1st time won't be the last, its the way transfers work. Best sort it sooner rather than later otherwise you just end up paying £Millions in wages for someone who is a bit part player.
The club did a lot of maneuvers to get this done, sorting out foreign loan moves to bring them down so they could loan him out and buy Angulo. They are seemingly clearing the decks with a passion to get things / money in place for the summer transfer window. Personally disappointed they didn't sort out right wing properly so I suspect Angulo or Talbi will be used as a stop gap.

Talbi was a rw at brugge I'm hoping he has the confidence to go back out there and also angulo has played a fair bit of rw too so definitely not a stop gap also Tabi will be fit soon and Traore for that rw spot

Talbi is predominantly LW but got his break RW due to injuries

I read something from his coaches from his national team.....they said Premier League didn't suit Simon and they wanted him to move to another country...they said in Premier you have to be explosive on wing like Doku is , or if your not explosive you have to have ability to run all game track back and defend.....they feared Simon is neither and wanted him to go abroad
