Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

Might aswell have taken 5 million and hoyed it in the wear then. Lovely.
I don't mind if it's a case of needing numbers at the time, and/or after being assessed over time they knew he wasn't what they wanted.
But it's not ideal that even if this goes through, we've made a big loss in 6 months. If they chose not to purchase him the loss might be huge.
Not sure why people are happy.

Can't think of any player we've bought and sold in 6 months before

There's always going to be poor signings as it's impossible to get them all correct and there'll be far bigger losses than £5m.

Very true although that’s a quarter of his value in 6months. We must be desperate to cut our losses as doesn’t feel he’s played badly enough to warrant losing that much.

To be fair as someone explained it’s not that much as most of that 25% will be add ons that won’t now pay so more or less money back…. Assuming they take the option of course to buy.

Even if they don’t, the hope is that he’ll be playing more regularly for Monaco and impress scouts of other clubs to probably come in for him during the summer.

If they sign him, it's for exactly what we paid upfront for Adringa. The rest was addons that we won't be paying now.

A year of his transfer fee will also be amortised by then, the club won't be registering a loss on the books.

There'll be 3 newly promoted sides flush with cash and desperate for some Premier League experience in the summer. Got to imagine one of those will be interested in taking him off our hands.

The transfer hasn't worked out, we move on without registering a financial loss in the books and a replacement already signed up. Good on the club for moving so quickly on this.

That’s true, but there’s been plenty of occasions where our wingers have received the ball in the opposition half.

All of them struggle to beat their man. For me a winger should get past their man once then get a ball into the box or have a shot. Ours all like to take the opponent on 3 or 4 times then go backwards.

How nice is it to see a winger get a yard of space and have a pop.

Well done Chems lad.
