Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

Hume just needs to stay at right back.
enzo needs to stay in the middle.
No point playing them out of position. Hopefully the new winger is decent and has an impact

Well, now that we've signed this new lad, and the buzz around him. Im kind of expecting him to be on the left and Traore on the right when fit. Talbi will probably stand in until then. I only mentioned Hume there as a desperate measure if needed as he'd do OK there as a stop gap.

I think Enzo will probably play on the left tonight.

If he does, then assume that means it's Geertruida, Sadiki and Diarra in the middle

shows the club aren't messing about with players seemingly deemed not good enough even if we have just signed them

suppose the good thing about the profile of player we're looking at is even if some of them don't work out we should still be able to shift them without taking a huge financial hit to do so

He’s not the first and won’t be the last winger who struggles in RLBs side. Not a pop at RLB, he is a defensive coach and it’s worked for us this season. Wingers spend most the game deep in our half operating pretty much as wing backs backed up by the FB.

That’s true, but there’s been plenty of occasions where our wingers have received the ball in the opposition half.

All of them struggle to beat their man. For me a winger should get past their man once then get a ball into the box or have a shot. Ours all like to take the opponent on 3 or 4 times then go backwards.

Football has changed massively from a while back where you’d see wingers getting at the full back and going down the outside. Very few look to do it as they all seem to cut in these days. Teams sitting deep can render most wingers pretty much useless. Chelsea away this season is the prime example. Their only answer to us sitting in was to bring another winger on who would do pretty much exactly what the other one did.

Maybe because right footed players play on the left and left footed play on the right, and they are not confident or good enough to put a good cross in?
