Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

This is my concern, I think we’ve used the bench well this season in the main, quality drop off not huge and it has helped to win and shore up games.

RLB himself talked about finishers

I’m worried we won’t have that till the end of the season now placing more pressure and load on the starters.

Adingra has only come on as a sub 5 times this season and played less than 90 minutes across those 5 appearances.

Him leaving doesn't do much for weakening our bench IMO as he wasn't an option used much in those situations.

I think we're in a position now to take advantage of some situations that we wouldn't be able to, if we were still in the relegation fight.

January is a good time to sell, but a bad time to purchase. We won't get the same value for a player like Adingra in the summer as we potentially might in January. Equally, if it's a loan and means we can shift him out to get a preferred option in now, that sounds good too.

There also might be a couple of scenarios whereby we have some short term pain now for long term gain in the summer.

The club have earned the right to be able to make these decisions so if we have to suck up finishing a couple of places lower in the table this season to put ourselves in an overall better, longer-term position in the summer, that should be accepted by everyone IMO.
On the other hand he goes there does shite comes back worth even less. Loans are always a huge gamble especially ones with no obligation built in.

I don’t mind him going as long as a viable option off the bench is brought in…just feel we are light at the minute and a couple of injuries and we will be looking at kids being on the bench

He's played a total of 658 minutes in the 16 Premier League games that he's played in, never completing a full 90 minutes in the nine games he has started. This is about 31.5% of the minutes he could have played. The fact that Le Bris has restricted his time on the pitch speaks volumes. By comparison, Talbi has played 930 minutes in the 17 games he has been available for the club, featuring in all of them. This represents about 61% of the possible minutes he could have played.

It still means that if we shift Adingra on, we need someone else to fill the void. I'd agree with the idea that he isn't fitting well into our system. I'm not against selling him either, if the right offer comes in. I just don't think it's right at all to say that we can get rid of him and not replace him because of the way he's been used. We need a squad in this league and the "finishers" as RLB calls them, also play an important part.

Talbi has integrated into our system a lot better and has offered more when he has played. I would have him ahead of Adingra in the pecking order.

There’s definitely a player there but sadly it seems just not in a physical league within our system.

Would be lucky to get 75% return on him but good for the club to get him out the door before his price tag drops even further. Hopefully he shines in Monaco and other clubs go in for him come the summer.

All the best to the lad.

From Northern Echo below - sounds like we may feel we have enough cover...

Bertrand Traore is first choice right winger and now Habib Diarra is back fit, there's every chance Enzo Le Fee will play most of his football on the left in the second half of the season, particularly when Granit Xhaka is available again.

Romaine Mundle is fit again now and ahead of Adingra in the pecking order, as is Chemsdine Talbi and Trai Hume, who has played on the right side of the attack in recent weeks. Eliezer Mayenda has also been used out wide this season, as has Chris Rigg. Jocelin Ta Bi has also arrived this month.
That’s a lot of he can play and when fit and maybes built in there. Not sure how losing a player that had played a fair bit and was in the bench and not replacing them in a position on the wings where we’ve already looked arguably our weakest this season. The club have loads of credit in the bank of course but it doesn’t make them beyond criticism I mean loads are saying how shite adingra has been yet it was the same people that signed him 🙈

Adingra wasn't that good so wouldn't have played that much anyway. It's no big deal Le Bris must think we have enough to get to the end of the season relatively comfortably with several winnable games.

Shame, the potential is there but he is a very frustrating player, he does not offer anything more than Mundle though, who also has struggled.
