Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

If Monaco are looking for a loan it would surely have to be with an obligation to buy in the summer, otherwise I can’t see how it makes any sense for us.

He’s not. You don’t get AFCON young player of the tournament and to play over 70 times in the premier league if you’re not an exceptionally talented footballer.

I don’t think he’s a Le Bris player so it’s puzzling we obviously chased him for so long.
Heart of a pee

Unless he has a big upturn I suspect he won't be here next season, a couple of journalist from Morocco? at the weekend were going on about needing to move to a league that requires less defensive responsibilities if he is to make the world cup.

Do we really need to replace him, in reality he has done very little and suspect he wants a move for WC purposes and more game time. Happy if we come out even on the deal tbh.
Yes we would need to. We'd gone from entering the window needing another first team winger to ending it with even less wingers.

Of course we will need to replace him if he goes, it might not look like he’s played a lot but he has played a decent amount. Removing a first team player from the squad and not replacing them would be mental at this stage of the window. It’s not like getting rid of Neil or patto adingra has played a fair bit this season.

If we could get our money back for Adingra AND get a replacement in, I'd happily do that deal.

He seems to have everything needed to be a decent PL winger, but can't help trying to beat a man three or four times.

If only he would make his yard of space (which he's excellent at doing) and get the ball in / progress the ball, he would be cracking going forward.

He also doesn't put in the defensive work needed in this system if we're being frank.

These are the same frustrations Brighton fans had spoken about a few seasons ago so we're a few years down the line now and nothing has changed.

The problem is 1) it'll be challenging in the extreme to get a capable replacement in at this late stage and 2) we probably won't be able to command the fee we'd get now, in the summer.

Difficult one.

It would also leave us with very very little on the bemch to come on and make a difference. Mayenda and Isidor would basically be our only attacking alternatives

This isn’t a glowing endorsement of mundle, but I think he showed more composure and ball retention against palace than adingra has in any other game. Scored a good finish against Leeds but masked a lot of other mistakes. Just looks hopeless imo.

Monaco agreed to sell a forward (striker) to a Saudi team. Not like for like but could be something in this.
The article in L’Equipe who are an excellent source states he’s one of a few targets they’re considering. In any deal at this late stage we’d need to be convinced it wasn’t leaving us short or have a replacement lined up.

There’s always a few rumours on deadline day that fill the news void but have only a small chance of actually happening

Wouldn't complain if Satori uses his influence at Monaco to get us our money back on Adringa, or if he's feeling extra nice throw in a swap for Camara or Akliouche. Haway Juan.

He's not a Le Bris player, so moving him on when he had value is probably something we need to do soon enough.

But are you happy having to use combinations of Mundle, Mayenda and Hume in wide areas? I'm not. Talbi is just a kid learning, moving Le Fee means we are then maxed out centrally etc.

Ous squad just doesn't have the quality or depth right now.

We are at our limit for foreign loans like. So Seelt, Rusyn, Hemir, Pembele or Masuaku would have to come back.

Mundle has done nothing composure wise like the cross against West Ham for was is Ballard or Mayendas goal, then the finish against Leeds. Even in the Palace game he started ok, got really poor and then finished it off relatively well.

Mundle is pretty poor allround. Adingra makes some poor choices.
