Adingra on loan to Monaco confirmed

Brighton had us reet owa with this deal.
They paid €8m for him & sold him 3 years later for x3 the amount.
Their fans were over the moon with the amount they got for him & im not surprised.
I’d be amazed if we got our money back on Adingra & personally would accept half of what we paid to get rid.
One of our poorer buys of late, in my opinion.

Looks like his agent putting out fake news to drum up interest, maybe he's disgruntled here for not starting every game? I think he's the only bad buy of the window. Basically paid 8m and gave them Watson for him.

I don't think he has a good attitude and this is shown in his refusal to track back and defend.

Wish we kept Watson, he'd be having a good season for us I reckon.
He’s nowhere near as bad as some make out mind. Has he been amazing no but given how well most of the signings have went it’s a high bar. He’s a decent premier league standard winger, on his day he’s very good as shown at Brighton where the season before last he was one of their best players and was one of the best players at afcon. Some of our fan base have a strange obsession with some players and if they ain’t scoring or creating every week there shite. Yet some player get away with murder. Has he been amazing no but you’d think he was absolute shite and a huge waste of money the way some go on about him. He’s still a young lad and has played at this level a fair bit now, he’s being asked to play in a different way and a lot of our “wingers” have found it hard to adapt to the way we ask them to. He may go as he may not fit the Reggie style of “wingers” but I really don’t think he’s been as bad as some have made out.

I don't think anyone is saying he is "absolute shite", I think most just think if we can recoup our money on him, we may be able to reinvest it into someone more suited to our style of play.

I guess it’s how you interpret match day threads and the general sentiment on this thread 🤣 I just don’t think he’s been anywhere near as bad as some make out. He’s still relatively young too same age as brobbey ain’t he?. We’ve seen many players have dips he’s went from one of their better players in a very decent Brighton side to falling out of favour of a new manager. One of the hottest young prospects at afcon to not being selected. I just think he’s shown he actual level he’s capable of at this level over a year plus and is coming off the hardest period of his young career. Will he get back to prime afcon and Brighton adingra here?, maybe not maybe so we ask a lot more of those wide forwards than most teams so maybe he doesn’t fit with our style. Just trying to bring a bit of balance to a thread that mainly think he’s been the worst signing of the summer when that level is extremely high as windows go.

Yeah I think he is decent and I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Juve are after him. I just don't think he suits our style and if we can cash in to fund an upgrade then I think we should, with Ta Bi hopefully being able to step up as a backup to that upgrade signing in the next 6-12 months.

After the goal against Leeds I was really hoping he would kick on, especially after the afcon snub, but he seemed to go back in his shell and doesn't provide the needed cover defensively like Mundle does, even when not being much threat going forward.

The issue with Adingra for me is that he’s tricky enough and quick, but makes poor decisions and that makes him inconsistent

What you’ve described is exactly the player we signed. He’ll look good and get a goal then go quiet for a few weeks

It’s just who he is, I was surprised we were in for him 2 windows in a row and when we spent £20m on him

Absolutely this is his biggest struggle. I think that his decision making comes down to coaching and confidence instilled and I believe we have the capacity at this club to help him over this small hurdle he's definitely shown what he's capable of.

We need to accept that we'll lose talent like until we're an established prem team again and even then if they're really good players the big boys will want them.

So, show me the money!

If we can get north of 50m for afingra and Isidor, I wouldn't be against using the lot on a really dynamic RW option
I wadnt be against using it to get everyone a drink at HT marra! Absolute lunacy to think anyone like Juve/ Madrid or an experienced respected gaffer like David Moyes would be…………..oh!

He's technically a gifted player. And I don't mind him losing the ball when doing his attacking job.

But for me, he's too weak in the challenge and tackle.

Beckham was hard as nails in winning his duels in non attack mode.

Adingra for all his ability leaves us vulnerable in those situations.

Hands up anyone who has heard Adingra described as one of Brightons best players for ANY season? I think our recruitment dept have been Chelsea’d by Brightons.

Wouldn't surprise me. Much better a player than he's given credit for by many on here, and not our first choice in that position.

When we were down there for the game just before Christmas there wasn't much love for him tbh, just doesn't live up to the hype/potential or work hard enough off the ball, someone said he's better than Mundle on this thread, I've not seen that yet tbh (good goal aside)

Seems deceivingly slow tbh, i don't think I've seen him out sprint any full back yet and when on the ball seems to drag it behind him rather than get on the front foot and try and trick the opponent at full pace. He could improve but he's been the main disappointment (but not an absolute flop) in recruitment this summer considering the fee paid imo.
