I think the city is less of a match with Koln but see your point about the clubsWhile I can see that, for me, I’d say it’s more 1.FC Kaiserslautern. Size of the club, history, the ups and the downs…

Me too, I think their is definitely a decent Champo midfielder in him possibly even a lower EPL a snip at 20 million of your German EurosAlways had a soft spot for the lad. Glad to hear he's finally thriving somewhere.
Didn’t we sell him, not loan him?Adil Aouchiche about to have that magical transformation that a player has in forum posters minds when they’ve been on loan at a much lower standard than we’ve been playing
I wonder how many minutes played we are until someone posts on the match thread “RLB refusing to recall Aouchiche and replace Hume with him, fuck sake, get him sacked”
RLB already managed him with another club. Maybe something happened, disagreements etc. Peter Reid was exactly same ,if you were a blue eye you played,no matter how shit .If you spoke up against him, that was it .You were out the door.I think he fell into the Ekwah bracket of a player they couldn’t get to play in a consistent disciplined way .
It’s clear with RLB you are out the door if you won’t conform no matter how much quality you have
No need for that language, mind...Because they are from a mining city and proper working class. If there was a club closest to SAFC in Germany it would be Schalke. Glück auf!

RLB fell out with him at Lorient and that clearly carried over to here.
We've obviously moved on and we ultimately got promoted so it's hard to be too critical, but he was underused here on the left especially when it would have allowed us to use Le Fee centrally.
I always find writing "hahahaha" over and over really helps emphasise your point and makes you seem intelligent.Even worse “oh aye le bris ordered we sell aouchiche so hume got more minutes” the lad who played 11 and scored 2 on the second division bundesliga hahahaha
Hahahahah hes shite man 2 goals in 11 in the second division “oh le bris fell out with him” hahahah
Because honestly he’d be lighting it up here wouldn’t he hahahaa where would you play him lad?

Rot und Weiß Essen, shirley? Play in red and white, twin town, heavy industry etc. Mind they've not really achieved anything close to SAFC's historical success. While I can see that, for me, I’d say it’s more 1.FC Kaiserslautern. Size of the club, history, the ups and the downs…
Schalke! Scheiße!!Because they are from a mining city and proper working class. If there was a club closest to SAFC in Germany it would be Schalke. Glück auf!
There was a period a few years back when 1.FC Kaiserlautern and Sunderland's records over several seasons were in lock step, but yet both pulled in huge crowds every home game. Good knowledge marra. There was a period a few years back when 1.FC Kaiserlautern and Sunderland's records over several seasons were in lock step, but yet both pulled in huge crowds every home game. Wrote this a couple of years ago:
The similarities are uncanny. Both have won league four times and cup twice but been going through the doldrums for years.
1.FC's stadium capacity is 49,800k (see?) and have brilliant support despite all the s**te, with 30-40k crowds every week even in the second and third tier.
Relegated from Bundesliga 1 in 2013, eventually ended up going down to Bundesliga 3 for four straight seasons (2018-2022), then promoted to Bundesliga 2 for 2022-2023 where they finished an encouraging 9th but have been poor this season. This remind you of anyone?
