Anyone on here defending him or contemplating him being back at the club wants to take a long hard look at themselves. I hope to god you don’t have kids.

i dont think anyone has defended his actions like. in my case im just saying that people should take a balanced view.

He could be released in March 2019, at that time he would be 31. If he played again he would likely not do that until the following season whereby he would be 32 years old.

Also keep in mind that if you are released from prison you can't just travel abroad to wherever you want, there are restrictions in place. Some by the UK government and some by other countries.

If he is released on license then he likely cannot go anywhere. Its pretty standard terms of license that you can't leave the country.

Then he will almost certainly need to regularly check in with a probation team on a weekly basis for the first 12 months of release.

If you have been released having served a sentence for a sexual offence then it is even harder to leave the country due to restrictions put in place. These restrictions are scaled down over time, but he doesn't have that time if he wants to play football.

I am very confident that he will never kick a ball professionally again.

I just think sex offending is a more hideous crime than dealing drugs.

its like saying violent crime is worse than reckless driving, there are minor and major extremes at both ends of the scale and a load of others in between. each case is unique. i just dislike the chavvy social media hypocrisy when it comes to sex offenders.

Indeed there are minor and major extremes hence why I think generally speaking sex offences are worse.

Not sure what Hypocrisy has to do with it.

are people genuinely saying they'd have him back? Apart from being a convicted sex offender and weirdo, he became an absolute embarrassment to the club and the area. He and his lawyers played the club like a fiddle throughout the entire sordid affair with his change of plea.

Not only should he never play for SAFC again, he shouldn't play professional football again either.

Might as well get Byrne back while we're on.

Who cares man. Who cares what the medical dictionary of sexual disorders classes grooming and interfering with a 15 yr old as?

What I really objected to was him saying Johnson would be welcomed in other countries where laws against child sex aren't as stringent.

You can't post that man.

It's like saying Gary Glitter was alright really because some of his activity took place in Thailand where the laws are less severe

unfortunately it is probably correct though.

should be a world wide law that sexual contact by adults with children under 16 is illegal. problem is getting the mindset of the men to change from thinking that sex with a 12 year old is ok.

Its not ok, does not matter you nationality or skin colour, children are children and no sex with them, should be the rule.

However when people have perceptions they always think they are right and its their right. Sometimes perceptions are wrong
