People saying he is as bad as the Rotherham lot and all kinds of hysterical outraged shite.

The media have a lot to answer for. They create hysteria and come up with headlines to overly villify a person (I say overly as I am in agreement he should be vilified, but it should not be grossly exaggerated to make a gripping headline). I do think the media are irresponsible and wrong classifying him alongside Ian Huntely, Levi Bellfield, Rotherham gang, etc.

"Pedophilia or paedophilia is a in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive to prepubescent children, generally age 11 years or younger."

I do not think AJ is a paedophile, he engaged in illegal activity with a Minor. In terms of appearance, the minor looked a lot older, but he established at an early stage that she was only 15! At this stage he should have been aware that although physically advanced, she would have been emotionally immature and impressionable and not let things progress.

He has done wrong, has been found guilty and will be going to prison, but I do find some of the articles and headlines being printed equally as shocking.

I hope she gets s hefty wedge.
Apparently she'd have to forgo her anonymity if she pursues damages from him through the civil courts.............so I guess its up to her as to whether being plunged into the spotlight would be in her best interests tbh.

To be fair what I said in the very first post about this was that I wasn't disputing your knowledge in the area of law you do but that it doesn't apply to criminal. If someone had done a week in employment I would take what theys aid over me on it because I appreciate how different they are... I was saying your experience wasn't relevant to criminal ...

But I thought we played well first half and didn't look like scoring second.
That's not what you said though, would you like me to quote your posts? Particularly the one where you said, what did my opinion have anything to do with it?

Not trying to make excuses for the lad but after hearing what has been said I can't help but wonder if he's on the Steven Taylor scale?

Aye mate, incredibly scathing about using experience in civil law to make arguments about criminal because I know how separate they are.

You did mock her a bit but to be fair I would just put it down to a bit of frustration that you couldn't agree on the point you were both making and move ;)

Serious question ....... do you have any legal training whatsoever?

Maybe, I would have told her to stay off until it's all finished.

I am in agreement, but possibly because I am 40+ and Facebook does not play a huge role in my life. Therefore staying off FB would not be considered a great miss to me.

On the flip side of the coin, it could be argued that she is the victim and going forward she should not be stopped from carrying on like any other 16 year old. And in order for this to be achieved it is accepted by her and her family that FB plays a big role in communicating with your peers?

It would explain why MB was only present for part of the meeting, if things needed to discussed that weren't for her ears as she wasn't bound by legal privilege and therefore wasn't in that part of the meeting.

I'd never actually thought of that but it does provide a good explanation of why that happened.

Maybe so but again, in my opinion I think it's a bad idea.

What a f***ing attention seeking tool, his support is in doubt? Hope he fucks off immediately the ****

If he's gone to the media, with his sob story, climbed on his high horse and taken such a principled stance why is there any doubt?
