Yes that was journalism as low as a snakes hips. The press really want to get their pound of flesh from this story and not content with going after Johnson they are trying to destroy the club as well. Not just printed media either the bbc are sticking the knife in as well.

How many meetings did Durham police have with the club like? I thought they only went to the club on the day he was arrested and told the club what he had been arrested for, which was what was reported in the Echo.

Det Insp Sampson told jurors that on the day of Johnson's arrest she met with SAFC chief exec Margaret Byrne to inform her of the allegations facing the player.

"I disclosed the offences which Mr Johnson had been arrested for, and considered safeguarding for any other young people who may come into contact with him in his role as a professional footballer."

The senior officer said particulars of the offences were not discussed, as Johnson had not been interviewed. What he said in interview was still not disclosed to the club.

Spoke about the arrest, but no details of the offences, and certainly not what Johnson had said because he hadn't even been interviewed by then. I'm presuming there was another meeting that you are referring to when, as you say, the allegations were discussed in detail. Got a link to that please as I've missed that one.
 
Adam Johnson is the worst person in the footballing world because he kissed a girl that was almost 16 years old but Marcos Alonso who killed a person by driving drunk is not even criticized.

Ive posted my points before, he didn't realise a kiss was classed as sexual contact, he thought he was just flirting, which he repeated in court, he's guilty of being extremely thick.
 
For organisation that let Jimmy Saville run amok the BBC's coverage of this is a disgrace and that is who is fuelling this attack against the club. We should not be taking pelters off that bunch.

We know the pink palace has a massive dislike of us and it is without doubt they are feeding the 'national' BBC.

It is criminal how their narrow minded football feud is now manifesting itself in this very sad case.

I really hope Sunderland AFC look to take legal action against the BBC. It is them that are the culprits in this.
