Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Dailymail online has an article about the lass going to sue Johnson for £1 million. Wouldn't be surprised if she trys to bring a lawsuit against Sunderland after the police statement said something along the lines of "the victim has asked the police why was Adam Johnson allowed to continue playing for Sunderland after his arrest"

Don't be daft, it would end up with a 2 word outcry ....... 'COVER UP'.

It certainly wouldn't all go away.
It would shut the majority of fans that want answers up and knock the wind out of media's sails.

The ones shouting cover up would have been shouting if the club statement had been clear.

Court evidence - Johnson's claim.
Worth flagging that this wasn't really tested in court as it wasn't critical to either the prosecution or defence.

I think for clarity the club should put something else out. However I also think that in a less febrile atmosphere the bit in the statement about not being able determine guilt would have been sufficient.

We know mate, you've said it about 200 times in this thread already .
And another day has went by with nothing said....

The club either release the statement or this continues and they get put under the microscope.

It's amazing people think they are keeping quiet for any other reason than they are hiding the truth.

Think its fairly obvious this is what's needed and will eventually have to happen

To which the club could reply "we weren't legally obliged to not play him nur nur nur nur nur". The club would be scum but not liable.

Surely you can not believe that there would be the same outrage with a denial ? There would be far less outcry for more communication and statements.

I honestly believe that there are people who have decided they're outraged and also those who are lapping this all up for their own reasons.

I also believe that a statement from the club would lead to more questions and if anything was left out, that the club weren't at liberty to divulge, it would lead to another thread exactly like this one.
The statement would be forensically examined and analysed on here, by the droves of amateur barristers, until we arrived at another identical situation.

If the club had the documents claimed they could have sacked him.

They had him bang to rights on two charges, they could have rolled with that months ago.

1) could they act on documents as any action taken would have been prejudicial.
2) the court system was used (I think abused) and he only pleaded guilty on the day of the trial.

I also feel the prosecution was right, he delayed pleading guilty in order to save up as much of his £240,000 a month as he could because he knew he was finished

The more I think about this and as I don't have the full facts, I just think Johnson is a shit. He has done everything he can to get off with this. He has also tried to succer his teammates into this as well and in his defence he has tried to destroy the good name of the club, the supporters and the people of this city.

He thinks of no one but himself.

Now I hope he gets a long sentence and rots in jail

Is it noticeable that since he and fletcher left, the team has been playing with heart. Maybe a great big weight has been taken of the teams shoulders

But it won't, it never does ........ just like buses there'll be another sensation along any minute.

That was before I read the police statements, it seems she knew a hell of a lot more than we have been lead to think, I also said I think we should wait until the summer, I have also changed my mind on that, this needs cleared up asap for the good of the club.

As far as the police evidence is concerned, at that point the club is not exposed IMHO.

The meeting on 4th May is what needs to be clarified.
