Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

The criminal has already been brought to account for what he did.
Haway surely you can't condone that man, at best she's done nowt wrong at worst she's made a disastourous error of judgement, to suggest that deserves her being harassed at her own home is mob mentality.
And he might have been found guilty but he's not locked up.

Yep...and I know what you're getting at, did they play Johnson after he admitted to a sexual offence with a minor. Ask yourself this...why did they immediately suspend him after his arrest, when they didn't have any facts, but play him after they did. Does that make any sense whatsoever!?!?

Either the club didn't know about the details and suspended him without sound legal advice, club and PFA consultation and therefore had to climb down

or

They knew the details (as several sources have claimed), rightly suspended him initially and then inexplicably reversed their decision under pressure (either pressure from the PFA or from the threat of relegation).

Whichever way, they've seemingly ballsed up here. They desperately need to put together a comprehensive statement to clarify a lot of these questions, without ambiguities, and then either back or sack the people responsible in the decision making process before finally drawing a line under the matter.

It's my opinion that Sky are, once again, making fools of themselves in their desperation to feed the public.

It's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
You might be right, I don't think you are, but you might be.

The truth normally comes out though.

Unlike you, I'm not turning this into a mag/mackem thing.

My reason for this is because it's a serious accusation that cannot be swept under the table. Plus I'm a grown up.

I very much doubt that you would be going on another club's forum if it had been them

Maybe I've missed this, and you all know, but Sky News have just said that adidas have cancelled their contract with Adam Johnson (we knew that bit) and "have confirmed to Sky that they are talking to the club about the club's sponsorship deal"
FFS !!!

She is the CEO of a major football club and a pivotal community institution. It has been suggested that she was shown the interview transcript and the whatsapp messages, and that she knew he had messaged and kissed a 15 year old, and that despite this, the club allowed him to play on. Those issues need answers and if she/the Club is not going to explain what happened, then the media are going to go looking for answers. Rightly so.

This. Another dark chapter in the tenure of Ellis Shite.

How could they "make us" overturn it? He had been charged with sexual activity with a child, he was due in Crown Court. If ever there was a clear justification for an indefinite suspension, that was it.

Fair enough, probably used the wrong turn of phrase. Found an article regarding what I was referring to:

While, as you say, it obviously was the final decision of the club, I would think the PFA have more to answer for than the wishy-washy statement they just released.
