I'm not pompous or needy, I can handle any stick thrown my way so don't worry about me love.

Don't know why you think I'm taking perverse joy out of all of this. In fact you seem to be the one with the issues throwing shade at people calmly discussing a topic on a football forum.

Yet you come on wittering about having to bear the brunt

All this shite getting aimed at SAFC for their role in the case from the media is bang out of order IMHO. Especially why AJ was allowed to still earn his £60k a week from them.

They were the AJ's employers, and he was entitled to earn a living from them until he stepped into the courtroom.

In this country you are innocent until proven guilty.

So why don't think they addressed the allegation that's getting bandied about by the papers today? Surely if the club could of they would have killed that avenue stone dead?
I'm not sure and neither are you. Tbh I'm not bothered. It could and probably should have been handled better. A terrible situation caused by a fucker who violated a young lass. My anger is more towards him than anyone else.

Well I will just clear that up.

I am not enjoying it. Not one bit.

See how easy it is to clearly deny something. I just want to ensure that the person responsible is held accountable at the club for, at best, a gross error in judgement. Not happy with sweeping under the carpet.

We've been through this, accountable for what? Just because you disagree morally with them, doesn't mean they legally did anything wrong

There is nothing to be accountable for, so you will never ever get that

You are are failing to grasp basic principles

Very strange.

When is he sentenced?
Likely to be about 10 years - out in a few with "good behaviour"/getting kicked in for being a nonce?
said it'll be in about three weeks time when he's back in bradford...

most things i've read says between 5 & 10.

The club have made a statement that people have ignored ...... how may do you think they should make before they look desperate?

Hard situation for them though, do they make a judgement on a case thats going to court? Can they do that?

We've all read those texts, if you'd have read them back in May would you have wanted Johnson any where near the team?

Haway then, enlighten me.

The club had the evidence in their hands & failed to act upon it. Either that's because they failed to investigate or they knew what Johnson was & played him anyway.

What involvement did the PFA and FA have as well as the player's legal team?

They must be making an example...nonces don't usually get such high sentences

It's not some kind of oversight. You don't need to be a genius yo work out a decision was made at some level where it was decided to play him and worry about the consequences later

'But my question was, say Im alleged to have raped X, in the SAFC changing room, and my defence is 'I didn't rape her, it was consensual!'... but it's still a summary dismissal to have sex in the changing room, so they can sack me without biasing the trial. In the same way, I think the club could sack him for inappropriate behaviour without making any inclination either way as to whether or not he was guilty of the offence ... they could soundly say, guilty or not, he's been inappropriate.

That said, I wouldn't have sacked him, I'd have suspended with pay.'

If they had admissions and the whatsapps (which they did), they have grounds to sack him whether he's found guilty or not.
