Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

He's not the only one who is saying it.

There's also people agreeing on my post about shouting the loudest. So maybe it is right?

So he's not the only one who's wrong ........ if people like you believe it and repeat it that means there's another one.

Is anyone agreeing with you that some people are absolving the club of all blame, if they exist I haven't seen a single one.

I respect that. As I said earlier, if it is found that the club has lied, I won't be going back.

This most deffo. Wouldn't be any other stance I could take IF this was true, at least not until whoever was responsible had left the club.

Sounds like the club never told him about the content of the WhatsApp messages

After reading those it was obvious to anyone at the club that he was going to plead guilty

You are a genius. Do you think that those messages were shared with "anyone" at the club? And I still dont believe the police can show evidence prior to a trial, someone with a legal background may be able to enlighten us

Ask the club, not me. But I will ask you why Johnson's defence team, who were happy with him pleading not guilty, would then hand incriminating evidence over to his employers? Third time I've asked as well tbf, so you going to answer that or not?
I don't know. It's why I would like the club to tell us...

Here is the post. Can not deny it like.

I'm certainly not denying it.

But I never said my opinion would change, depending on the club, which was what was claimed.

I said it's 'the kind of inane banter you find on football forums' not that my opinion would change.

Football banter isn't always based on logic and reason which is why it's inane, as I clearly said.

I've spent the afternoon deliberating over the whole situation with friends and, through gaining more of an understanding of what has gone on, I feel really compelled to know the answer to one question - 'Did anyone at the club see the text messages that clearly state the girls age, the ones where Johnson acknowledges her age, and the texts where they talk about kissing?'

The fact that Adam Johnson pleaded innocence right up until the trial confuses me more than anything else, because it was almost impossible for him to deny the grooming charges once the texts came out showing he knew full well how old she was.

The crux - did anyone at Sunderland see those messages before the details were revealed in the trial?

If the answer is no, then we move on and the club remain as blameless as the rest of us.

If the answer is yes, then a full enquiry must be launched and heads need to roll, because risking the reputation of the football club in choosing to ignore that fact is enough to turn me off from Sunderland altogether.

Sorry. He's right about voting with your feet, though. It's about the only thing to do in order to a) hurt the club and b) underline your principles.
No it,s not. SAFC belongs to the people who have spent their life supporting it
Why should anyone walk away just because the current management got this issue so wrong.
All of us should be permitted to express our anger at what's been done without being told to walk away.

I absolutely agree. The fact they are refusing to address it makes them look bad before it even gets to the truth.

I understand anything that makes sense .......... probably why I struggle so much with you

it must be your lack of brain power then, because there are plenty on here who struggle to work you out like:lol:

According to the AJ's lawyer, who said in a court of law, the answer is yes.

According to the club, we received such evidence but passed it immediately to the lawyer, implying it wasnt looked at, at all.

Nobody's telling anybody what to do at all. That's what I will be doing, that's all. I made it pretty clear, tbf.

Please invite me round for your next enthralling afternoon ......... I'll bring the Battenburg

He wasn't convicted at that point by a court and he probably had a large part in making sure we weren't relegated. I'm not going to blame the club either way.

He wasn't really involved much at the back end of last season was he? Some substitute appearances but certainly not a large part of the reason we stayed up, can't have been many games/points won after the meeting they had in May

Sorry I haven't followed in detail. What did the WhatsApp messages say regarding his decision to plead guilty? It certainly appears that the players and the manager had no clue he would plead guilty. Are you suggesting the club knew he was going to plead guilty?
