Na. I did join in with the "there's only one Adam Johnson" at Hull the day after with 90% of the away end though.

The memories from December 2014 were still fresh in everyone's mind :cool:

Of course he took the piss out of the club. Fed them a load of lies, never mind using his stature within the club to take advantage of a young fan. Also when the police came knocking he ran to the club asking for help, shame they didn't tell him to fuck off and deal with it himself.

They don't though. These days they have fairly strict sentencing guidelines.

And surely any "huge compensation" would need to be awarded in a civil court.

A lot of interesting reading in the guidelines here, it appears the judge had little choice in the length!...

Doing my nut in, I`m certain I read on sentencing that as he`d pissed around court by pleading innocence for so long he lost any chance of early release!
 
Punishment was OTT (but to make an example and to act as a detterent). No chance will thst get reduced, especially with the other abuse stuff coming out about football. Needs to just get on with it.

As ive posted before, i know a lad that done very similar to johnson, with age gap etc, now happily married with a child, its a very fine line and how you go about it !!!
