Abdul Fatawu - continuing news

Years back alot of us would have scoffed at paying such a price for a player that hasn't played regularly, for a relegated team on top of that. Given who we've brought in this summer it just feels a bit of a weird one when they probably know lads in Europe that would do the same job at half the price
 

Can’t see how a player goes from €17 million this time last year, plays 13 PL games registering 0 goals, gets an ACL and now is priced at €30m+.

Obvs Ghisolfi knows considerably more about player recruitment than I do!
 
This lad got 20 G/A’s in his first season in the championship at 19 year old at RW

In the prem games he had compared to other wingers he was in the 94th percentile for progressive carries, 99th percentile for successful take ons, 99th percentile for tackles, 96th for aerials won and clearances.

The lad is a very very good. Hes rapid, great on the ball, exactly what we need as a left footed winger. Has a strike and a half on him too

He fits our system like a glove. He’s highly raved about by people who watch him.

All of this. Trouble is the fee, especially after the injury.

He didn’t have an injury but Minteh’s price increase was similar from PSV>Newcastle>Brighton when they were struggling with PSR. Same positions too and guessing their stats are similar also
