Abdul Fatawu - continuing news

Won’t happen but if West Ham go down I’d love to see Bowen here. Absolutely tailor made for our style of football.
I think he would stay and try and get them back up....not a tournament at the end of next season, so would probably prefer to be a hammers legend by staying and getting promoted.

Entirely possible and if he did leave I’d imagine there would be no shortage of takers.

Yeah, but I don't think it will be the mega money they could have got a couple of years ago.....just starting to get to that bracket of "no future resale value".

Then again, you will always get some desperados like the mags who will pay £70million on August 31st, when they have to replace Gordon.

To be fair our “no future resale value” signing last summer is not only our best signing, he’s our best player, manager on the pitch and absolutely pivotal to how the club are perceived.

8 goals and 6 assists from 31 games isn’t too shabby for a player not having a great season. He’d be our leading scorer and assist contributor. Was excellent against us this season.
I'll rephrase that, he's not been in great form lately.

I’d agree Summerville has been sensational for a while but when I’ve seen West Ham play the one thing you get from Bowen, regardless of how the season is going, how the match is going or how his own form is at the time….you always get 100% from him. Contrast him with Gordon who when the going gets tough hides.
He’s from hereford

Wrexham it is then. 😉

Yeah but he was about £13million......Bowen could be about £50-60million.

But yeah I get what you mean, sometimes you just need to pay the money for quality and not think about a resale.

You'd also be talking about the same in wages over the length of a contract. He'd be a great fit for us, but that is simply beyond us from a financial perspective

I watched a video this morning featuring an interview with Ghisolfi and to be fair to him he’s ambitious and talks a good fight. He’s still talking about Europe and an eventual challenge for the title. Seeing as we currently have the youngest team in the PL it’s unlikely those ambitions will be achieved unless genuine proven quality is added in key positions. It’s quite interesting because not many have turned us down so we must be saying the right things to players and their agents regards ambition and wages.

Bowen wouldn’t be dropping to the Championship like, no chance
