Hi

Hope someone could give me some advice/help about getting over my injury. I got hurt playing football about 4 weeks ago - basically I had an impact on my right leg and got pain where my right leg meets my groin - I think it's my abductor. I now get severer pain when I attempt to kick the ball with my right foot.

I'm wondering if anyone could give me advice on getting over this injury? Should I go to gp? Do exercises or get physio ?

Thanks in advance for any posts - this is really getting my down as I'm missing football and general cardio

I've done my adductor twice now mate. It's really a case of letting it rest until it's fully healed. Don't even attempt football for a while, that kind of impact will tear it again.

I'd say 6 weeks off high impact sport. Even avoid running for a week or two at first. As others have said you could see you doctor and arrange physio which might help it to heal better but I've never needed to do that.
