Aaron Ramsey


Probably the 3rd best league in the Americas. The USA gets more hype due to their marquee signings but Mexican teams have won all but 1of the Concacef Champions Cup(their CL/CDL equivalent) in the last 20 years. Gignac was named in the France 2016 Euro squad whilst playing for Tigres. Also the clausura/apertura system would suit a player of Ramseys age and general fitness. Clever move football wise.
 
Been some big investment into the Mexican league in recent years. Sergio Ramos currently playing there.

I remember the French football fans were really angry with him at the time. Was seen as selling out and potentially leaving the national team short.

Seems they had 1 or 2 youngsters coming through that were just fine :lol:
