A very powerful moment in British sport

It’s cultural, they are all obsessed with being at work all the time and visible in the office.

It’s nothing to do with racism or persecuting the working class. Doctors get the same so no one is being hard done by.

It’s so shit millions of people would move there tomorrow if they could, me being one of them.

It's 100% a culture at the expense of the working class. It isn't necessarily about racism but the fact that african American workers are more likely to have shit terms and no wealth is a legacy of their racism.

I’ve just explained how it’s not the working class being exploited, everyone is the same over there when it comes to holidays. How are the workin class being exploited when they are getting the same as the middle class high earners?

Anyone who works is getting exploited because their terms are shit. The middle class are also being exploited more than ours.

I’ll ring my brother and tell him he is being exploited while he sits on his balcony in Orange County and earning twice the salary he would in the UK.

I’ll also tell his wife she should probably move to the UK and earn 1/3 of what she does now.

They will be f***ing livid.

You think this is genuinely all players beliefs ? Or simply a corporate PR exercise that must be seen to de done !

I cannot know what’s going on in the minds of individual players but they are people and they’ll have their own beliefs. They were also free not to kneel

Who knows what the future holds , riots , looting deaths ? But the photos of PL players with " black lives matter" on their shirts , might be looked on with the same shame as England players giving the Nazi salute before playing Germany in the 1930,s

I can't quite wrap my head around how you think comparing Nazis to Black Lives Matter is a normal thing to do.

Genuinely f***ing insane.

And where would that have got them ? Drummed out of the game ! Their beliefs don’t come into it

So they were coerced into it? Seems a bit of a conspiracy.
The majority of teams has black players, players maybe showing solidarity to Teammates who support BLMis the most likely

Of course they were told man ! There are racist footballers as there are racists generally. Many people in football who are now behind BLM have been around while all this shit has gone on for years. Why didn’t they speak up years ago ?

seems a bleak appraisal of young footballers. I’d say football is moving towards more tolerance and the racist ones get fewer and fewer each year

I fundamentally support the need for change in social and policing strategies in the US (and beyond), particularly in light of the recent horrific and racist murders of members of the black community. I also believe in what defunding the police actually means (directing funds to other services such as mental health and other support services for communities instead of using police who aren't trained or capable to provide those services).

That doesn't mean i support or have to support any particular movement, especially when those have some other policies or beliefs that i don't support.
