A ridiculous situation….

In the lower leagues they should look to schedule more games at the start of the season than they currently do knowing they always end up with postponements here and there.
That is the common sense solution you'd think.

Seen it quite a few times in recent years with lower league sides having a mad amount of end of season games to catch up.

Non-league teams usually play twice per week from the start of the season to get the good weather.

The issue lies with the cup competitions as things like the FA Cup start in August for some. Add in the League Cup / Trophy / Vase then you have so many dates without league fixtures.

On a broader point. It’s daft we have football through the months it’s hardest to put football matches on each year.

Fixture pile ups in the lower leagues (juniors etc in particular) this year are shocking and the leagues are making things worse trying to shoe horn games in. Random midweek 10am kick offs and that when everyone is at work 😂

12 points from those games will be enough to stay up. They can easily manage the situation.
Perhaps. But what about the teams they are playing. As their manager says in the article, they are playing some teams that are pushing for promotion/play-offs or fighting relegation. Those teams might get an advantage due to Truro’s backlog which then adversely affects other clubs that aren’t playing them. Not a good situation whichever way you butter it.

Often though that with the bairn playing rugby. Might get a couple of months where it's decent then the bad weather and dark nights come in and they struggle to even train let alone play.

It's not like we get months of 30°+ weather in the summer.

This year has been particularly bad. Since pretty much July I can barely remember a 2-3 period where it hasn’t absolutely hoyed it down. Absolutely killed this season.

And as you say our summers aren’t really a factor for it being too hot.
