Good piece by Scott Wilson. Better than most local journalists who seem to be happy not to question the goings on.

Yep bang on, the only promise they have delivered on is the seats.....and the fans done that for them......that says it all really

Very good article pin pointing the owners failures.. this bit hit a nerve in me:

At the end of last month, Sunderland announced their refund policy for the matches that did not take place when the League One season was curtailed. Season-ticket holders, the most loyal of the loyal, were told they would have to wait until the end of August to be repaid, whereas those who had bought individual match tickets were promised their money in July. Unsurprisingly, the reaction from the club’s most committed supporters was one of furious bewilderment.

The bold line says it all what these owners really feel about those who pay to watch the football team. Another reason not to renew and to ask for the refund on cancelled games , that i was willing to let them have to help.. Not anymore.

It is a good article. This regime can start and win trust back by doing certain things i.e. actions rather than words. One is to get a decent replacement for Reid and then talk about how this person is going to reverse the trend of frittering away talent that has taken years to develop. The problem is that the current regime appear to be incompetent. Rodwell came with a poor track record and then has handled the season ticket debacle badly. Donald and his pals have repeatedly talked a good game but when it comes to action they are not good enough at their jobs to enact that e.g. Maja/Grigg.

Whee will you believe in? Short was shoite, the Don a disaster.....
Whee the Fook do ye lot want?

Meh. It's good to have pressure on the current owners but it misses the critical point. Say they pay the remaining money back. What then? We'll have a cash injection but will probably still end up failing. If all it takes for the fans to come onside is for that money to come back, we need to take a look at ourselves as fans as much as anything else. The club is prioritising the wrong things and making bad choices. That is the root of the failure. The trust and finances thing has become the lightning rod for this regime when it should be their lack of competence. I'd rather the local press went in two footed about that tbh.

So you're happy? No you're not. You're choosing just to accept this shite, a lot of others aren't.

What are ye doing Rocko? I just whingeing Rocko that feeds the Magedia that won't get the train to the destinashun....

I think the local journalist turned a few weeks ago now. It's unusual as they're usually reluctant to bite the hand that feeds them. Unless they know change is on its way? 🤞

If that’s the case then how the fuck has it taken them that long? These twats were found out 9 months ago.
