9 points to play for

No they don’t. Comfortably staying up
In your first season has an impact. And we’ve done that easily. FTM. Beating them twice was very nice but I reckon the club just might be looking at the bigger picture.
Agree with what you're saying but I think it's been there for the taking to finish above them and would have (hopefully will still have) a positive impact on us.

During the season I’ve always been pretty confident that we’d bounce back from a bad result or results. Feels different this little run, we’re conceding too many and our passing at times has went to shit. If this continues we’re playing three teams that may still have things to play for so I’m not confident with teams below us as well starting to pick up points we could end the season below Leeds and Newcastle which would be a bit of a dampener to a good first season back.

But finishing above them wasn’t t even in the equation at the start of the season. We might, we might not. It really doesn’t matter. Being in the Prem is what matters and hopefully we kick on. My really optimistic prediction after our summer signings was to finish 12th. Thought I was being ridiculously over optimistic at the time. The fact it will now be a little disappointing shows that we’ve had a really good go. Everything now is about how we build long term for next season and beyond. Who gives a shite about that lot, we’re both going to be somewhere in mid table.

Yeah it's all fair enough. I'm frustrated because I feel it could have been put to bed and might have made things even easier for us moving forward. But you're right, of course this season is beyond all of our wildest expectations.

We’d have won easy today with 11 men

Season is fizzling out. Im not seeing us doing much in the next 3 like, wouldnt be suprised if we lose all of them.

People can talk all day about what wed have been happy with after we got promoted, as far as im concerned this team is about to underachieve.

How underachieve

I think the fans and players are underestimating how much worse the summer will be if we let the mags finish above us. If they do, it's completely down to lack of bollocks from us. All we realistically had to do was beat either Forest or Wolves to seal the deal.

Things like that have an impact on momentum and we're starting to look like we've let it slip for no reason.

 Means nowt man.

If anything it means psychologically we are underdogs again which suits us better

Exactly. So frustrated too and the ‘what ifs’ after that Diarra miss at Villa have been doing my head in for a fortnight, but not letting where the mags finish enter into it. Anyway, as it stands we’re mathematically safe and they’re not!
