61 Substitutions Made This Season

This team should be higher than 4th. Stop lauding things we could be top easily, we have so many players who will potentially move on if we don’t go up. We’re very lucky with our current swayed we need to seize the moment,

We are probably going to go the whole season keeping within touching distance of the top 2 but not really challenging and end up playing a team in the play offs that ends up 15 points behind us.

Never watched a single french league game in my life. But I doubt it's as end to end, or the calender as packed, as our league. Then you have the physicality too.

His lack of rotation has annoyed us since about September. We've been on top of games and he hasn't changed owt. We've played the shit teams in this league and not changed owt. And we've played multiple games in a week and he's changed nowt.

It was an incorrect assumption anyway (not by you, just to clarify that).

He made 148 substitutions last season which was the 7th most in Ligue 1.

145 the season beforehand which was 10th in Ligue 1.

It's quite telling when looking at RLB's history as a manager in france, very rarely would he make less than 5 subs a game.

Seems he isn't too keen on the reserve players available.

Still by far and away the lowest amount of substitutions made of managers with a similar amount of games managed this season, including plenty who have managed for significantly less games also.

But an absolutely mad linked stat that I came across - a substitute has only been involved in 2 goals for us this season (so either scoring or providing an assist).

In comparison to the teams above us, Leeds for example have had a substitute involved in 20 goals this season. Sheffield United 11. Burnley 10.

Fairly difficult for our subs to be involved in much including games when they do come on they’re given the keys to the bus to park.

I’ve said for months his in-game management is non-existent. He may as well pick the team and then fuck off home.

This backs that up.

his lack of subs made is due to a lack of options, we have no squad, everyone saw what Leeds brought on and what they did

no competition up front, same team picks itself, injuries havent helped

he needs to start resting players and using everyone before the play offs

You are contradicting yourself with your last sentence there mind.

It's madness though, Aleksic has been fit all season, he should have been given way more minutes than he has. Taking off a tired Jobe gives energy. Most teams when bringing on a sub are bringing on a worse player, but that player has energy and is fresh and hopeful trying to impress.
Is Jobe better than Aleksic of course he is, but when hes strolling around because hes knackered and cant tackle because he'll get a yellow then get him off.
Instead of getting our entire team to sit deep so we can conserve energy they should be running at the start to get the game won and swap for our subs.
This league is crap and we've decided the only way we can score is a lob over the top for Isidor to run 50 yards its ridiculous.

"It’s possible that there’s some fatigue. It’s a long season and we’ve had a short squad. We can have a low point in our dynamic."

He clearly values the quality already on the pitch rather than the lower quality but fresh legs on the bench most of the time.

But for most of the time the bench has been very poor.

For the most part I think the bench has never been as bad as made out. It's certainly been worthy of more minutes IMO.

Aleksic for example has only played 200 minutes, which is 20 minutes more than Jack Clarke as an example of how little he has been used.

He let Aouchiche go on loan because he fell out with him at Lorient, despite him playing pretty well when given opportunities.

Mayenda has only played 1,500 minutes.
