6 defeats in 6 consecutive Wembley appearances

Off the top of my head I reckon between Sunderland (7), Newcastle (8) and Boro (5) there’s been 20 defeats at Wembley on the belt since 1973. And before anyone says, losing on pens after a draw is still a defeat.

2019- Portsmouth
2014- Man City
1998- Charlton
1992- Liverpool
1990- Swindon
1985- Norwich

Actually I agree now that I have looked at it, four of our last six fixtures there were against winnable teams that we threw away.

Your not allowed to back down on here man you need to argue the point forever!;)

Can we all just pick a random weekend when there's nowt on and have a good night in London?
Be class wonder what the media would say about it

I would genuinely love that! What a great idea. Pick one of the non-league finals played at Wembley. Have a Saturday night out in CG and TS as per normal, then go to the match en masse on the Sunday. Take over part of the ground in the middle (I.e. not spoiling it for the fans of the teams involved), and support whichever team is winning at all times during the match - no matter how many times it means swapping!

Same for me, Norwich 85 as a kid, 92, 2014 & 2019. Missed the playoffs as had holidays abroad but still felt the pain. Next time we’re there im lumping big on the other team.
90, 98, 14 and 19 for me.

I'm over it now like. Promotion is the main thing this season. We can win the FA cup next season if we win promotion
