Cant see the sense in selecting Broad for the fifth Test.He has a knee which needs operating on and a damaged nose/face.Give his place to Finn.Simple as.
Because Jordan and Woakes aren't good enough so if you take broad out. Then we're left with a county bowler, an ODI bowler and a lad who has been out of test cricket for a while.

He hasn't took wickets though has he?

No way Jordan and Woakes should play.

Really annoying me, all the media saying we should stick with them as young players need time to adapt to test cricket and develop.

Well the player with the most talent adapted to test cricket straight away, Stokes, but you dropped him just because he was out of nick with the bat, he is bowling fine!

Bang on.

Woakes and Jordan are 25. Stokes is 23 and offers far more control and aggression. This is down to batting, also perhaps his firey personality not being in tune with the conservative, controlled (negative) environment Moores, Flower and Cook favour.

Finn, on form, is an absolute battering ram. You want him in your team at all costs. You expect him to bowl a few loose balls but take wickets. Considering Jordan is conceding runs and not taking wickets, if he is left out again, this will essentially boil down to the strategy of picking 3rd and 4th seamers for their batting.

Will be interesting to hear the excuses considering he just hit a ton for Durham. 'Not consistent enough with the bat' no doubt.

Even then stokes has a test century and his next best score was in the 40s. Something woakes and jordan won't be equalling imo

As I say, a conservative mindset, they don't want someone who will make three ducks then a century. They want a guaranteed 25-30 man to shore up the shit in the upper order.

It should all be about the bowling, Stokes hasn't helped himself being an all rounder, if he was just a bowler then they would of kept him in, as he has bowled excellently.

Stokes

E.C.B

Don't like players with an attitude and individulality , they have to fit in with the English mould . They have just got shot of the last player with flair and imagination in Petereson, they want lads who will tow the line and not ask questions . Even though Stokes was probably the only one who stood up to front the Ausies in the last Ashes .

Completely this. Losing the Ashes was one thing.....god knows I've seen some poor England efforts over the years! But the debacle in the winter was something more than losing...it was grievous capitulation. Stokes was one of the only bright spots.
