Why in the fuck has it taken us to the 5th game to pick a more balanced side.

That is easily the best team we've picked this series.

Cook
Hales
Ali
Root
Morgan
Buttler
Stokes
Woakes
Tredwell
Finn
Anderson

Who knows. Nice intent from Ali and Hales but poor execution, hope that doesn't cost them their places.

This type of thing really annoys me about England, apart from that one pull shot Root isn't even looking for runs, just playing a straight bat and trying not to get out. You've got to busy and looking to get a single from every ball, it's such a basic concept.

We had three number 11s in the last game, and the one spinner. Which in ODI cricket is utter madness.

We've changed it up for the right reasons, sadly two of the better batsmen have fluffed their lines.

Cook cant win here, if he blasts a 100, the critics will just say its a nothing game etc....

And I would give Morgan the captaincy...

Cook out.

On paper 40 odd from 60 odd balls looks OK but he got off to a flyer with 2 early boundaries then went into his usual can't rotate the strike mode. He edged at catchable height through a gap in the slips twice early on. Got a life late on when he was pretty plumb LBW.

He's got to go but no doubt we'll just muddle through and limp lamely out of the world cup

On form (their batting, our bowling) and on this pitch they should chase down 295.

Canny innings by Buttler, 49 from 40 balls and a decent cameo by Stokes, 33 from 23.
Yeah, the younger lads played well. Disappointing from Cook again, Root played exactly the top of knock (I know I criticised him earlier, I stand by that ;)) that Cook should be playing but has never been capable of.

Well 33 for 2 off 9.5 overs - who would have expected that? Possibly the Indian team aren't putting their all into it as they've already won the series, however at least our bowlers are going for it ...
