Root has played enough times under the captancy of Morgan, so you would think he may have learnt a bit about field placings etc, but it seems not.
That doesn't follow at all, these are two different forms of cricket, the mentality, tactics and approach should be different.

The lesson to learn from Morgan is 'how to be a captain' and by that I mean, leadership, planning, listening, deciding and having a plan and having a strategy and treating everyone differently according to their strengths and weaknesses to get the best out of them.

Thing that really pisses me off about this is that it’s just starving me of me Cricket. I don’t care that we’re losing per se but to lose 2 actual days of the contest which looks likely is pissing me off and it’s becoming more frequent. Test Cricket that dosen’t require 4/5 days to resolve is just not the format that I know. It’s *specifically designed* as a format to take a long time to play. Which only highlights the stupidity of Test Batsmen playing as though they need to win the game in 30 overs.

Carry on like this and you might get some more tomorrow. There is a ridiculous amount of time left if only we can stay in. Just dawdle to the total and get it after a full days play on day 5 for all I care. Won’t happen but....

TMS has this infuriating habit of making everyone on it seem decent. They're interviewing Lehman right now and he comes across as positively urbane.
