That would leave Barnsley needing just a home win against Brentford the week after to relegate us.

If either Barnsley or Bolton get 4 points we are down. Even if we manage to win three in a row (we’ve failed to win any of our must win games this far so don’t put that much money on us doing that.)

The other sides have given us plenty of chances. We’ve fucked them all.

That would definitely be the Sunderland way. Mind you we do have some history in generating vain hope only to stick the knife in and twist it - FFS the last time we were down here we even took it beyond the end of the season and into the relegation/promotion play offs.
 
Forest have lost the same number of games as us. We've just drawn far too many. We just don't win enough, and with three games to go, we won't win enough
 
While I wouldn't slate anybody for still hoping for a miracle I'm now resigned to us going down. Today was my final hope for escape and the fuckers blew it. So down we go.
