Aleem Dar

Striker
Team - Collingwood, Smith, Stokes, Benkenstein, Blackwell, Mustard, Borthwick, Thorp, Onions, Claydon, Brathwaite.

Entry is free down at the Durham Emirates ICG.

Still not confident going into the season with Brathwaite as one of our main bowlers; nothing against the lad as he's done well. I just think we're used to something a bit better!

Harmison will be in before him though, possibly Plunkett too.

I know the opposition aren't top class but Stokes looks to be in good form with the bat.

93 from 70 balls in the 1st inns (12 fours and 2 sixes) and 65 from 45 balls in the 2nd (6 sixes).

It would be great to see him have a good run for Durham this season but if he keeps up that form he will probably get called up to the England ODI team and may even be in the running for the number 6 spot in the test team.

Or am I getting a bit carried away? ;-)

He hit a 6 right out of the ground again. Massive shot similar to the ones against Lancs last year.

I'm afraid we'll be losing him shortly as he is in the Performance Squad along with Onions that was announced earlier on today. No doubt he will play some pointless match and Durham will suffer as a consequence.

Peculiar batting order today as Durham gave everyone a bat who hadnt had one so far this season. I doubt we'll ever see Benkenstein coming in at number 9 again followed by Mustard and Collingwood, although I would imagine we'll declare first thing tomorrow morning.

Onions batted quite well and smashed a massive 6 as well.

Harmison is an absolute joke. He should never have been given that lucrative contract last year. From what I hear he has had a bit of a shock now he isn't playing for England and the money is starting to dry up. He is hopeless on the telly so doesn't really have any other options. He is bleeding the county dry although I suppose they should have been clued in and had the bottle to tell him where to go!

I quite like him on TV.

A record that will be on our books for a long long time I suspect.

Or until we next play the Uni

It was one of the lowest first class scores in cricket history and the lowest anywhere since 1983. Went down expecting too last at least until tea - all over by 12.15pm.

Last man did not bat although I doubt it would have made much difference. Injured foot apparently.

He'll not play many more games for Durham but I cant see him packing in until his contract is up at the end of 2013 unless Durham can persuade him otherwise.

He has done nothing much for the county since the Warwickshire game in 2010 and is now bowling off a shortened run-up which looks anything but threatening.

I'd count him out for this season and it was a mistake by Durham to offer him a 4 year deal but back in 2009 it seemed a good decision.
