His record is important, and whilst technically he may look good he looked fucked between the ears last summer. No method.

He may well become the answer, but he’s done fuck all since that one huge score. Literally fuck all

You must be mate, as I must have read hundreds of posts from you saying batsman should not be played out of position, yet you even suggesting that this time!

I would not be against giving Crawley a go, but after him nothing else imo.
 
Burns has been finished for a while. He gave up batting at 1, showing he has a weak mentality. A friend has already messaged him on twitter offering to pay for his early plane ticket home

You can’t pick someone with burns on these pitches, See where his feet were pointing in this test.

Just because that’s the squad we have and Australia is unlike anywhere else to bat

We have to win this next test. If we don’t we lose the ashes

We haven’t got time for burns to Fanny on for a few more tests

I’d rather have Burns up there than any of the other options (sadly).

Jimmy for Leach for me.

Plenty of time before and after this test to negate the need to rest Wood. Just play your best team cos if we lose its game over.

Anderson for Leach I’d assume is fairly nailed on, and I’d bring in Broad for Wood, to keep Wood fresh for Melbourne and Sydney.
 
Woakes drops out for me and possibly leach. If we had decent backup I would also suggest leaving stokes out as it's a lot to expect from him after a difficult year and little cricket

Don't see the point in playing a spinner, under lights, with a pink ball. Especially as his confidence will be shot
Wood bowled beautifully in Brisbane but he can't play every Test, and this is one where we can probably get by without him

Good news for England. Much has been made about England’s seamers - with many players expected to be on a rotation of sorts but I said to a friend before the Series that I can’t see the Aussie trio of Cummins, Hazelwood and Starc lasting the distance and playing all 5.

Don’t know too much about their reserves, but if either of the other two of that trio miss time in this Series it could be a big boost to our chance of victory.
