The point surely is though you have to pick two openers in a cricket match?

So it’s not a question of whether you good enough, it’s surely a question of whether you better then other options?

It’s the same in football you might have goalkeepers who you think are not good enough, but you still have to pick one! so you pick who you consider the best.

Can you not have players who are better than the current options but still not be good enough for the future
@Voice of fair play like I think Sibley is better than both but I still would try new players ahead of him
