2nd test Old Trafford

Just a matter of time now, they have dug in, but needed to get ahead of us before the new ball, batted 80 overs yet still nearly a 100 behind by the time the new ball came.
Love that from the crowd!!

‘Go on Jimmy let him have the fucker’

South africa lost 7-38 in 20 overs at the end there
Can both teams turn up in the next test?

Think Crawley and Lees are both gonna be given the last test now that the series is still on the line and we won.

Same bowling attack or does Potts come back in somehow?

What a way to come back after the first test. Emphatic performance.
There was a overreaction to the first defeat by some imo, that’s 5 wins out of the last 6 against good sides as well.

Who what have thought that 4/5 months ago, all credit to Stokes and McCullum,

Potts is not coming back into that side marra, barring injuries

Class day today. Now I’m off into Manchester to get sozzled.

Old Trafford is a brilliant ground by the way. Far superior to Trent Bridge IMO which is the only other Test ground I’ve been to.

Two mediocre sides but fair play, decent win that. Good job Hull won as well having sold my ticket for today to watch them
Hway mate, you can be a bit more positive than that, great win by an innings!

There were times in this match where their bowlers bowled extremely well, we came through it and showed we a good side.

I think think @Silly Point was harsh, but he's not exactly wrong.

We're improving but not gonna be challenging at the top of the rankings any time soon.
SA have one of the best bowling attacks in world cricket right now, but their batting lineup is shaky to say the least, and without a world-class star like Joe Root to carry it

Yeah have to agree mate, the South African batting side is very light.

However after just winning a game by a innings and winning 5 out of 6 tests this summer.

It’s surely gives us the right to be a bit more positive going forward, especially what happened prior to this summer.
