2nd half of season form

Did someone post that this is a trend of all regis spells as a coach . Great 1st half underwhelming 2nd half of season .
Not going to criticise him but we really need to work out how to be more effective from the off in most games. Would like to see the stats of how many times we have have taken the lead in games this season especially 1st half. Our success has been based on a solid defence but thst now seems quite leaky so its going to give us more of a problem as the season progresses.
Just want that safety as soon as possible and strengthen better as a squad in the summer .
Would be nice to get some wingers who are actuslly capable next week but I can't see it
 

It does feel a while since we've seen the intensity of the early season games. Players flying in, covering every blade of grass, whipping the crowd and each other up.

We don't seem as difficult to break down now either which is more worrying.

City yeh, but other than that not to the extent of the first few home games.

Then again may well just be the rose tinted glasses of just another modern day fickle football fan.
 
Same players most weeks, the squad hasn't the depth of quality to be banging away at games 100% for the full season that takes a few windows as we transition from a championship squad to a prem squad.
If we somehow wangled a conference league spot next season the squad even with additions will find it hard with all the extra travel to the arse end of Europe for matches too.

We'd all have taken 17th or higher at the beginning of the season, so regardless of anything, just surviving is a huge achievement and hopefully we get stronger season on season. We aren't gonna be at it every week in our first season, there are gonna be blips

I’ve got loads of complaints. Doesn’t change the rest of your post though, people are allowed to be frustrated, upset, have opinions on the game/set-up etc

But questioning the players work ethic, labelling them cowards and all the other shite that soured the match thread just isn’t on.
 
Aren't we 17th in XG table or something? A lot of the exceptional "form" early in the season was down to getting the rub of the green in matches that were pretty even. It's natural that we'll go on some bad runs and finish lower down the table when our luck turns. No need to panic.

19th in the xg table . Thank god for a good defence first hslf of season

We dropped off significantly in the second half of last season too.

Statistically, our results have been better than our performances, generally you would expect that to average out, which would suggest a drop off is likely.

But I would certainly take results getting worse if this season's FA Cup can be last season's playoffs!

Xg is nonsense, that’s why the league doesn’t reflect that stat
