Cummins and hazelwood are tremendous and lyon is world class
Siddle.for starc on his day and that is as good as any attack aus have had for a lomg time
Remember there being a thread on here where the majority picked winning the WC being more important than the ashes.
Was surprised, because red ball cricket and the ashes are the pinnacle for me.
Like i said its as good as any attack theyve had for a long time. Must be going bacj 15 year for that attack are we?magrath, brett lee, Gilespie, Shane Warne. I beg to differ mateevery one a match winner.....
they are a decent bowling line up at present, nothing more
about as average as you will get with an aussie team though ! as they are NEVER poor
it's all about opinions though![]()

Starc bowls 93 mph. Be will play this series at some pointafter they retired, along came a certain mitchel Johnson though, and he single handedly trortured us ! we just couldn't handle his pace
that's the one thing this auz line up lacks for me, genuine pace. none of them really rack up over 90 mph balls, which the last few auz teams have had at their disposal. it makes a MASSIVE difference
which is why jofra will be SO important for us
Comparing them to one of the best bowling attacks of all time though is silly. They probably have 4 of the top 10 quicks in the world to pick from aswell as one of the best spinners (especially outside of sub-continent conditions)magrath, brett lee, Gilespie, Shane Warne. Absolutely abysmal reviewCaptain's called for a review... and the keeper agreed.
We aren't going to win one match in this Ashes are we?Was always going to be a bit after the lord mayor's show, but it doesn't look like we've prepared for this at all.
Still think winning the world cup is better than the Ashes, shouldn't be hard to win a two horse race held every two years

Spot on we have quality bowlers let's see how we do get another 80or so game onWe only just into the second test and you have decided we not going to win any!
f***ing hell man!
Cummins?
I don't think Johnson was any more dangerous than Cummins et al in England mind. That extra speed is important at times but not the be all and end all. Look at the ICC rankings, Cummins, Anderson, Philander are 3 of top 4. The latter 2 are not quick at all by any standards.he's high 80s ! (with the odd one just touching 90 thrown in) that extra few mph makes a HUGE difference at the top level
brett lee and Johnson bowled a regular 95 mph ball, again we just couldn't live with it !
Been lucky once or twice, but aye he's looked OK. Hopefully he kicks on and gets a tonBairstow has played well so far. And I’m his biggest critic
It’s starting to look like I was right about Buttler

Will be interesting to see if he maintains it at test level. I reckon he will sit around 87-89mph generally with odd quicker ball. Lots of players can fire it down at 90+ for 4 over spells in ODI's but can't maintain that bowling 20+ overs in a day. Like you say though his action seems effortless so will be interesting to watch his speeds this series. I think he will come into his own though when we go over to Australia, if we could nurse Wood to fitness them 2 could finally give us some genuine pace threat out there.all good points mate, mind.... there isn't a lot of genuinely fast bowlers around atm though. Archer is the first one to arrive on the scene for some time imo. most bowlers now bowl at 85 to 89 mph. maybe it's because of injuries ? Archer seems to bowl fast at ease though, if he keeps that action he should stay injury free, and I did say should......
