Was at that - one of the few (possibly only) times I sat in the Clock Stand - couldn't handle their attacking three or four (Klinsmann, Sheringham, Anderton, Barmby) they absolutely mullered us, esp once we were a man down

I was in The Clock Stand Paddocks, and bizarrely remember people having white foam fingers.
Perhaps he thought we were showing off our hand colour supremacy.

I had to drive up from Derby for that game after work. I was about 10 minutes late for KO and I think we were 0-3 down by the time I got to my place

The BBC had erected a box in the Fulwell End that day and Jimmy Hill was there. I screamed his name, he looked over and I shouted fuck off and flipped him the V's. Quite proud of myself that day.
