So I just read this, which states we had 26,689 season card holders in the Premier League. Surprised as I thought it was a lot more than that!

Based on that,as the article states, to push for 23,000 in league one will be absolutely incredible! Ha'way!
Good pre season...a few players like McGeouch signed lets go for 25,000!

So we have about 20,000 fans who have paid on the gate in the past rather than get a season card.....If we were to get even a 3rd of that figure through the gate we hit 30,000 gates this season which would be epic.

Plus I think we will get some decent away followings - it’s a bit of a one off for supporters of clubs at this level to get to a ground like the SOL

Agreed, if I was following another league 1 club I would deffo be looking to do Sunderland away, probs with a night on the lash in Newcastle having watched Geordie Shore and thinking its full of slags.

With the upper concourse closed to home support, does that afford us to offer away fans effictively as many away tickets as they can sell/fit up there?

Or are there restrictions?

Lots of people bought tickets for individual games, as they will this season. We'll average around 26,000 imo probably 30,000+ for bank holidays or if we're near the top

Was thinking this earlier, mind you are there any clubs in L1 that would be able to sellout a standard allocation nevermind extended?

We need to make the SOL a fortress where we WIN every game. Yes every game. A place where the opposition fear to come too. Big crowds are a great start then its upto the LADS.
This is exactly what the manager said at the fixture release..he wants us to be on the front foot pressing to get the ceowd behind us.....this is very mich his style it would seem..i for one am looking forward
